Any beautiful surface is only such if it has known the terribleness of the abyss.
Ernesto Erre was born in Turin in the 1970s to a family of immigrants from Southern Italy who moved in search of a better life. Since childhood, he has faced the unique challenges of growing up in a hostile suburban neighborhood, facing a sometimes violent reality, all to find his place and freely express his true self.
As a teenager, he worked in the most disparate professions to become financially independent and emancipate himself. Subsequently, after discovering his passion for design and his innate entrepreneurial intuition, he immerses himself entirely in the world of renovations, transforming his work into a true love.
His career in the renovation sector was not only limited to creativity and design but also demonstrated extraordinary entrepreneurial ability. Leveraging his technical skills and real estate market knowledge, he sought residential spaces in strategically positioned areas close to redevelopment, successfully transforming each project into a profitable investment.
However, Ernesto’s quest to define his identity goes far beyond the world of work. Through adventurous travels and meaningful encounters, he has explored distant lands, touching different continents and cultures to better understand himself and the world around him.
These experiences, fundamental to his inner growth, opened new perspectives on his true nature.
In recent years, Ernesto has channelled his creative energy into various independent artistic activities, ranging from musical and cinematographic projects to collaborations for producing music videos, documentaries and independent films.
Driven by an insatiable thirst for self-discovery, he meticulously collected his daily experiences in a diary, diligently analyzing every aspect of his journey. Crowning his efforts, Ernesto recently published his debut novel, “THE TENEBRAE” a compelling literary work that delves deep into the complexities of the human psyche. Published in April 2022 by the esteemed publisher Another Coffee Stories, the book offers a profound exploration of the human condition and captivates readers with its thought-provoking narrative.
Ernesto’s work captured readers’ attention with its gripping plot and evocative prose, earning him rave reviews and the recognition, a year later, of being named a finalist in the prestigious 61st edition of the Premio Campiello in the First Work category. This award proves that anyone with dedication and passion can achieve their goals and dreams.
Today, Ernesto has embarked on a new and exciting professional path fueled by the significant relationships built over the years. His deep passion for art and the stories of the people behind each masterpiece inspired him to found E.E.ArtDealer, an entrepreneurial initiative specializing in selling original works of art aimed at design professionals, collectors and enthusiasts.
Ernesto has a fresh perspective on doing this job. It goes beyond what is visible on the canvas and delves into the artist’s journey, entering the plot of their story.
